Introduction
The ICEBP is in the process of both developing new evidence-based guidelines for the practice of perfusion, as well as reviewing and endorsing existing guideline documents.
Currently, the ICEBP is developing a guideline document for the Systemic Inflammatory Response, as well as partnering with The Society of Thoracic Surgery and Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists in developing:
° an update of the current Transfusion guidelines
° new guidelines for cardiopulmonary bypass
