Session 3: Experiential vs. Evidence-Based Medicine |

Session Objective: Describe why evidence-based practice of perfusion is critical, identify models for evaluating the types of evidence and mechanisms for distinguishing true evidence from casual observations, contrast evidence-based upon clinical experience to that obtained from peer-reviewed publications, and identify where experiential-based medicine has been, and will continue to be, used in cardiovascular perfusion. |
